C. Publishing your Web Page

Finding Your Space on the AFS

Try this:

Open a new Web browser window.

Log in to your UMBC account using your login name and password.

To illustrate this next step, let's say your username is “student”. Then in the URL address bar, enter “/afs/umbc.edu/users/s/t/student/pub/www” where the “s” and the “t” are the first and second letters of the username.

Your directory, or data storage volume of the AFS, should appear. This shows all of the data stored on the system for you, including your e-mail account and “pub space.” If there are no Web pages saved to this directory, then the “pub space” folder will be empty.
