EDUC791C: Instructional Technology

Syllabus

There are five "major" assignments in this course:

1. Essay on theoretical aspects of technology
2. Observed lesson demonstrating the use of instructional media at school placement
3. Instructional media competency checklist
4. Lesson demonstrating the use of computers in instruction
5. Weekly communcation using course listserv

The Internet part of the course covers the following topics. All but the first two items are included as part of the Computer Lesson.

1. Using e-mail (Includes assignment)
2. Subscribing to discussion and news groups (Includes assignment)
3. Accessing the internet
4. Resources for you, the teacher
5. Resources for your students
6. Using the computer in your classroom
7. Constructing your own homepage (optional)
