Translucent Complexions

"Nature's Simplicity Hides a Greater Complexity Than Man's." - Soetsu Yanagi.

Collected living organisms were encased in glass slide mounts. These were then projected, exposed to copper plates, and printed as etchings, then decayed etchings. The organisms go through a second life cycle by photographic and printmaking processes.

MEDIUM AND SIZE: Original organisms, lithographic film photographs 8" x 10" & 20" x 24", copper plates 20" x 24", photoetchings 22" x 29", soil, brass bowls of left over residue.
