Leaning to Pond/er

An installation of a lotus garden constructed of paper. Each gilded leaf pad is first made from freezing colorant into an ice cube, placing the cube onto the center of Chinese paper and allowing it to melt and draw. Floating on water are lotuses and sky water text about the state of earth’s water. Small pond plants are also included.

MEDIUM AND SIZE: Installation/sculpture. Melted ice drawings with gold leaf up to 18” x 24”, water, mirrors, flower sculpture.
