Dear Gustav -
If there was any cheating in the payment, resp. adjustment, it
would have been the work of Friedrich B. Swift, in New York, according
to the Consul here. Judging from the letter Mr. v. Nebelsieck's,
the amount paid was off by 100 dollars. May letters and account
will still help. As far as Emilie Fr. is concerned, you know that
I don't have contact with the same, and I will cerainly not stoop
to speak to her about such thing, and I don't believe you will
be able to change anything about that.
With cordial greetings and best wishes for Christmas and New Year, I remain as always,
Your
Theodor.
