The Mentoring Relationship
Mentoring is a partnership of peers working together
and freely contributing to the discussion. It involves highly personal
interactions based on the needs of the protégé
and influenced by the
personal styles of each partner; therefore, it is not possible to rigidly
specify roles. However, research has shown that effective mentoring
relationships are characterized by certain intertwined attributes.
