About Me

The older I get the more I see my father in me. By no means am I close to his stature, but I do see myself repeating his actions. If I could be half the man my father is, I would say I accomplished more than 90% of the people in this world.

My father is a modest man, introspective, and gentle. He is concerned about the welfare of others, giving his time to help those around him. When I was a kid it embarrassed me to see my dad rushing to open the door for others, now I see myself doing the same thing. He always made sure we had enough and worked hard for us. However, he was also wise enough to make sure we didn't have too much. My father was never late for anything is his life. Dad always arrived at work, church, or appointments on time, if not early. At the time I thought it is was kind of ridiculous, now I see promptness as being respectful and making a good impression on one's own self. Dad is one of the most "whole" persons I know. He takes care of his spiritual, intellectual, and physical health. By no means is he perfect. However, he recognizes his faults and works hard to make improvements.

I have learned a lot from my father. He taught me to be aware of other people and how my actions affect them. I always try and smile as much as I can, just like dad. I learned to be on time if not early from dad. He also taught me to say "please" and "thank-you."
