YAKSHA GAANA is an ancient folk/operatic art form from southern part of India. I have been a lifelong fan of this artform. I am part of a group of yakshagana enthusiasts from Baltimore-Washington area have formed a group called YAKSHA VRINDA in performing a number of shows.

Toastmasters International clubs provide opportunities to individuals from all walks of life to get together with the objective of improving public speaking skills. Toastmasters provides many educational goals from Competent Toastmasters (CTM) to Distinguished Toastmasters. There are clubs all over the world and I highly recommend this experience to everyone--to those who are confident that they give good speeches as well as those who fear at the thought of a live audience. I belonged to the Columbia, MD club and became a CTM in 1995. I plan to get back to it soon.
