Johann Ludwig Wilhelm Jahn (d. 1851) and Caroline Wilhelmine Souife Hilmann Jahn were married in May. Johann owned and managed an Inn at 43 Tuchmacher Strasse (Clothmaker Street) in the middle of Frankfurt an der Oder, Prussia Germany.

In January Eliza Emalie was born.

On June 28th Ernstine Louise Mathilde (Mathilde Birkholz) was born.

Johann and Caroline gave birth to their only son, Johann August Theodor on December 15 (6am).

On March 8th (6pm) Kay Marie Pauline was born.

On April 3rd (2pm) Rosalie Floreantine Clara (Clara Noark) was born.

Caroline Auguste Amalie Jahn (Amalie Jahn Friederici) was born on October 31 (4am), the 5th daughter and the 6th, and youngest, child of Caroline Hillman and Johann Jahn. #25

1865 JUNE
Litigation breaks out and divides the siblings. It seems Eugene Birkholz, widower, father of the Johann Jahns grandchildren, manager of Johann Jahns Inn and possibly guardian of Johann Jahns daughters Amalie and Clara during their teenage years, makes legal efforts to disinherit Amalie and Clara. The Friederici's move to London then New York and there is no evidence the Jahn family spoke for 20 years.

Eugene Birkholz writes the Friederici's in Brooklyn from Milwaukee, he gives addresses of 2 other Birkholz' in Berlin, as well as the address of Wilk Noack, also in Berlin. #27

On August 12, at 48 years old, Amalie died. #44 2 months later, September 21, at 60 years old, Amalies husband, Ferdinand Friederici also died. #48 Amalie and Ferdinand, are buried at the Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn NY. #44 They left behind Alma 23, Jennie 21 and William 17.
