Lina
Zhou is an Assistant Professor in
the Department
of Information Systems, University
of Maryland, Baltimore County.
She received her Ph.D. in Computer
Science from Beijing
University, China, in 1998.
From 1999 to 2002, she was a research
scientist at the Center for the
Management of Information, University
of Arizona. Her research interests
center around text mining, deception
detection, machine translation,
and ontology learning. Her work
has been accepted and/or published
in journals such as Communications
of the ACM, Journal of the American
Society for Information Science
and Technology, Group Decision and
Negotiation, Knowledge and Information
Systems, Journal of Computer Processing
of Oriental Languages, Journal of
Advanced Software Research, and
Computers in Human Behavior. She
is a member of the editorial board
of the Journal of Database Management,
and is a referee for the Journal
of Management Information Systems,
the Journal of Electronic Commerce
Research, and among others.
