- Faculty need a single point of contact for questions about
desktop services. Presently it can be difficult to find the right
person to solve a computer/network problem. This primary function
of this single point of contact may just be the referral of
questions to the appropriate staff member. This person should
also monitor resolution of problems to help clarify where ITT
support is deficient.
- ACS, and other UMBC organizations, should continue to use the World
Wide Web as the vehicle for providing networked information to users.
This allows users to learn only a single user interface for access to
large amounts of information both internal, and external, to UMBC.
UMBC administrative units should be encouraged (forced?) to provide all
possible information to faculty under the World Wide Web.
