Follow the instructions for installing SQL WINTALK on your home PC which runs Windows 3.1/95/NT OS

• Create a directory called GUPTA & SQLBASE under C: (SQLBASE *has* to be under C:)
• Copy the Zip file (Wintalk.zip) you had downloaded from the web onto C:\GUPTA
• Inflate the zip file on this directory & populate the contents of the zip file under this directory (this can be done using WINZIP )
• Copy Start.dbs from C:\Gupta onto C:\Sqlbase
• Goto C:\Gupta and double-click the SQL Wintalk icon
• Goto ADMIN header under Wintalk & select 'INSTALL NEW DATABASE' This should pop up a screen. DO NOT alter anything here. Under the field name Database, give your database name (this can be any name).
• Now, check the boxes called New & Overwite & click on OK.
• Now, Goto Session & say Connect. If you have followed all the above steps carefully, you should be getting the database name you installed moments ago in step 6. Connect to this & start creating tables.

When you get some errors like ODBC.DLL not found or any-other-file .DLL not found, then, you have to come to the LAB and copy the missing DLL files from the machines in the lab.
