  • Mr. Shakespeare and the Internet: A wonderful site that will connect you to virtually anything you might want to know abou the bard. Take its biographical quiz, prowl around on various links: there's a lot to learn, all of it reliable. A gem of a website.
  • Shakespeare's Globe: The University of Reading offers this site to chronicle the rebuilding of the Globe Theater in London. The theater, now open and holding performances, was painstakingly recreated from documents, drawings, and archeological site work. There are numerous other sites on this remarkable building; start here.
  • The Complete Works: This site contains the complete works of Shakespeare. Among its services is a concordance, a system that allows you to locate individual words or phrases anywhere in the canon: want to know how many times, and in what contexts, he used the word ghost? This is how you do it.
