IMAGE/INE
RULES, TROUBLES + TIPS

To start a performance...

use command + g
to end a performance use the "esc" key.

If you've imported more movies than Image/ine is recognizing, or Image/ine isn't playing the latest movies you've imported

Under MovieSelect: Min should be set to 0, but make sure Max is set to the number of movies you have imported. Also, be sure there is a "bullet" under "C" which will enable "cycling" through the movies.

If a keyed image looks wrong, or unpredictable...

Check the screen to see if EX MODE has a bullet. If it does, keying is also reading whatever is in the Displace Channel. Type an "x" to turn EX MODE off.

If your not getting an image at all

Make sure TrsfMode is selected as "copy"; if not press the "z" until it does.
If a movie is in the Foreground, type an "m" to start the first movie, and check the movie speed.
If a video is in the Foreground, check the upper left screen and make sure video cabling is compatable with your cable. IE: choose shift + "V" to toggle through "S-Video" and "Composite". Also check your input (command + 0) check the pop-up menu "source."
Try toggling between buffer, movie and video to locate what is/is not coming through.

TIPS

Never use Import Windows during performances.

Always use "+" and "-" on the keypad to move through Presets. Never use the Preset Window.

Always use "m" to cycle through movies (otherwise create Display States to move through movies non-linearly). Never use the QT Movies Window.

If your using more than one image in the Buffer, use Photoshop to create a composite, and save as pict for small files, JPG for larger buffers.

Image/ine is currently designed to create movies at 320x240 and zooms them to full screen adequitely. Therefore it's recommended to use 320x240 Cinepak or Sorenson Video Codecs.
