All 27 photo's are included in the on-line Photo Album and are from Alma Herson Moren's inherited box of letters, documents and photo's from the 1860's to 1880's Berlin to Brooklyn. They are in good condition, albumen prints including text with the photographers name and addresses on the back.

Other images from the box include calling cards from the Friedrichstraße, Berlin (1864 circa). The background texture from this page is a wallet holding the calling cards. Other items from the box include prayer cloths probably from Alma Friederici Herson's conversion to Catholocism (1895 circa); and many many prayer cards from various Brooklyn Cathedrals. Some of these images mentioned are included throughout the web pages.

Other images not from the box that are included in the web page are from various archives and tourist information resources. Included are archives from Gera, Germany; the Berlin Photo and Building Archives; the Frankfurt an der Oder tourism bureau (the GDR didn't fund off-set printed photo's, instead they published the higher quality, higher manual labor to produce, original photographs for tourists at postcard prices); and historical maps from archives in Berlin and California.

Some of the translated letters are on-line and located throughout the web pages.

All Friederici documents are numbered. Therefore the # symbol, followed by a number, refers to original Friederici documents confirming information source.

The entire box of over 80 Friederici letters and documents, as well as 27 original photo's are archively bound in an album, including documents not listed on the web site. The album additionally contains a family tree from Gera possibly dating the Friederici's to the 1690's. The album also includes 19th c. historical photo's, such as the Friedrichstraße home in 1865, the Steamer Minnesota in which the Friederici's sailed to the New York Harbor, etc.

The original Friederici album dating from 17th c. to 1888 is available to any family member at any time. It is currently held with Lisa Moren at 2308 Tucker Lane, Baltimore, MD 21207. or e-mail: LMoren@umbc.edu
