Research Interests
My research interests are directed toward the
interrelationship between popular music, culture and society in the
German-speaking countries, as well as questions of ethnicity and national
identity, language and cultural policies in western Europe, particularly as
they relate to the electronic mass media.
In addition, I am interested in German diaspora communities abroad as
well as ethnic minorities in the German-speaking countries.
