FILM RESOURCES ON THE INTERNET
None of these sites has
an exhaustive list of the many places to find material related to film and television.
The last list contains a selection of Internet search engines which will allow
you to undertake general searches of the Internet.
The
Internet Movie Database
The Internet Movie Database is
the best single film search engine on the Internet. It contains over one million
entries covering nearly 80,000 films from around the world. In most cases entries
contain a complete list of cast and production credits, a summary of the plot,
and technical information. Often entries contain much more, including reviews
and criticism. The Database also contains filmographies and biographical information
on thousands of actors, directors, producers, screenwriters, photographers.
Links
to Film Internet Sites
This list
of Internet links should serve as your starting points for researching your
film projects. The list is not complete, because the Internet is always in a
state of flux. Sites appear and disappear. Furthermore, there is no way of classifying
them as we classify books in libraries using the Library of Congress cataloging
system. You should look for links to new sites and use one of the Internet search
engines to seek out more information.
