Midterm examination (25%) - tentatively set for Tuesday, October 21
A 5-10 page paper (25%) - due Thursday, November 20; topics MUST be approved by me no later than Tuesday, November 11, and preferably much earlier .

Final examination (40%) - Set for Thursday, December 11, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m..
