GFP-tagged plakoglobin
Nuclear localization of N deletions. Fertilized eggs were injected with
RNA encoding either ND2 (A), ND7 (B) or Arm5-8 (C) mutant forms of HPkg.
Living embryos were examined by confocal microscopy at stage 10-12. In
the ND2 expressing embryo, the bulk of the polypeptide appears in the nucleus,
although cortical polypeptide can be seen. The ND7 polypeptide appeared
to localized more equally to both nuclei and cortex. The Arm5-8 polypeptide
was localized primarily to the cortex, although weak nuclear localization
was still apparent. Scale bars mark 10mm in each part.
