Controlling and monitoring gene
expression in E. coli.--GFP-CAT fusion protein monitoring
Here GFP was fused to CAT and thus expressed together. The result
shows that GFP expression correlates well with CAT expression. Note
that there is a time lag (95 minutes) for GFP's fluorophore to fold correctly.
The dotted line is GFP expression shifted with the 95 minutes. Arrows
denote time for arabinose, which is the inducer, addition. |
