Mentoring Language & Questions

The mentoring relationship is based on exploring topics together; it is not based on the mentor giving advice. Well-chosen questions encourage the mentee to reflect, ask questions , think critically, and see the mentor as a trusted guide who believes in them.

"A lot of people have gone further than they thought they could because someone else thought they could." --Unknown--

You will find six categories of questions useful when working with your protégées: general, problem identification, problem solving, options and solutions, planning, and support.
