Genetic material is passed on in Mitosis
Cells pass on their genetic information to clonal descendents (when they divide)
This process is called “mitosis”
- Mitosis makes identical copies of the parent cell (daughter cells)
- Each daughter cell gets 1 copy of each chromosome (maternal & paternal)
- Each daughter cell has an identical set of chromosomes
