Portfolio assessment:

This is a quantitative evaluation. To get full credit, your portfolio must consist of:

texts (texts, electronic, print materials) from at least five different sources

evidence of collaborative work with your partner

e-mail correspondence/ interview of young French natives, etc.

Web contribution.

This is a qualitative assessment. You will evaluate your own work and have your work evaluated by three other class participants.

I'll validate the class participants's evaluations on content and consistancy of evaluation.

"Friendly" and unjustified evaluations will be dismissed.

The evaluation sheet will be designed in class. It must however include criteria such as:

1. Relevance of the WebCt class discussion in the final product

2. Demonstration of consensus taken in consideration (both from France and our class study)

3. Coherence, clarity of expression

4. Language mechanics. All proposed contributions will have to be corrected with Le Correcteur and sent to me for review/ rewrite. Uncorrected mistakes will not be accepted!

Final remarks

As experts in your topic, you will conduct yourself as a professional. All work must be performed in a timely fashion. Tardiness will not be accepted, unless it is related to circumstances that are beyond your control, such as slow e-mail from France.

Always think and work ahead! Technology cannot always be trusted.
