Description

This course covers database management and the technology used to implement these systems. In this course, each student will learn the fundamental concepts of database design and implementation through a review of query languages, data modeling, file organization, indexing, query processing, concurrency, and advanced topics. Prerequisites: CMSC 341.

· Database System Concepts, 6th Edition, Silberschatz, Korth, and Sudarshan

Older editions may also be used, but check to make sure all of the required chapters are present. For a list of all changes go to db-book.com
