In the Grand Canyon after the first check point stay along the right hand side untill you see a dirt ramp that goes up.When you come up the ramp you will see a land bridge, go across it.{if you go to slow you will fall off}This will somtimes give you a big lead over the other cars. There is another shortcut like this to the right in the beginning of this stage.
When racing Iowa or Indiana, if you zoom all the way in (so you are looking out the windshield) bugs will occasionally splatter on tour windshield and when birds fly overhead bird poop will splatter on the windshield. Have Fun!
In Beverly Hills, run into any tree on the side of the road and coconuts will fall out of the tree. Not much of a trick, but still pretty cool.
After a two player challenge game, the losing player's Right front wheel will fall off if you continuously rotate the analog joystick clockwise. This should happen after the car rotates 3-4 times. Talk about driving till the wheels fall off!
After entering your initials on the high score screen, push down and scroll to the bottom where the conveyor belt is. Hold left on the D-pad, and after 30-45 seconds a head will roll down the belt.
This code is activated the same way as the "Flashing Lights Trick" code (see below). Get your name on the "Hot Lists", scroll to the bottom of the list, and hold left for about 35 seconds until the head comes rolling across the screen. Using any car in any race, you can now get a Nitrous Boost by press Brake, Brake, Brake, Gas, Brake, Gas. You can only use this once for every checkpoint passed.
Instructions: When on the Car Select screen, if you hold the C-Left, C-Down, and C-Up buttons, then move the Control Stick from car to car, you will notice that the ATV, School Bus, and the Police Car are available vehicles to race with.
This cheat is actually slyly on the front side of the poster, but we figured we'd put it here anyway just in case you missed it. As with the arcade version of Cruis'n USA, you can select from a Jeep, Police Car and School Bus. The first thing you must do is go to the car selection screen. Now hold down Top C, Left C and Bottom C all at the same time. If you hold down those buttons over the '63 Muscle Car (leftmost car), then you can choose the Jeep. If you hold down those buttons over the La Bomba (second from the left), then you can choose the School Bus. And if you hold them down over the Devastator VI (the gray car which is third from the left), then you can choose the Police Car. Holding those buttons down over the rightmost car will do nothing.
Instructions: After you put your initials in on the "Hot Times" screen, you can press either up or down to scroll through the Hot Times. If you go all the way to the bottom to where the metal rollers are and hold the Left direction for about 35 seconds, a face of one of the designers will make an appearance and say "I love this job". After he says this, when you are racing any course with either the Police Car or the School Bus, if you press the Brake twice, then the Gas once, the lights will flash for as long as you hold the Gas. As soon as you let go, the lights go off. Do this as many times as you wish. Note: This code will only work if you are using the Police Car or the School Bus. It will not work with any other car.
The first thing you must do is select the Police Car or the School Bus. If you don't know how to, see one of the cheats below. Next you can pick any board to race on. You must get a "Hot Time" on that board. After you put your initials in on the "Hot Times" screen, you must go all the way to the bottom of the "Hot Times" list. Now hold left for about 35 seconds (you'll see the rollers moving to the left.) If you chose the police car or school bus, got a hot time and you're at the bottom of the list, then one of the designers head will come rolling across the screen. He'll say, "I love this job." Exit the "Hot Times" screen and choose another board to race on. Once you've begun the actual race, press Brake, Brake, Accelerate fairly quickly. If you did everything correctly, the lights on your police car will be flashing and your siren will be going off. Or the lights on the school bus will be going off. To stop the siren and/or lights, simply let go of the gas button.
