#2 Postcard Collage
Authorship: Who's work is it Now?
You will draw two random
postcards from the class pool which you will then use to create a composite
image. Concentrate on the given material of the postcards. You have complete
freedom to generate a piece based solely on your interpretation. All parts of
the postcard may be used or you may be selective of particular elements. There
are no constrictions..........Except for: All images must be 640 x 480 and
you may add only one outside element.
It will help to write about the images or make sketches of your ideas in your
journal before executing it on the computer.
Questions you may want to think about during your process.....
- How would you describe these images?
- Are these images familiar to you?
- What do you bring to these images? Do you associate them with anything?
- How do these cards make you feel?
- Do you see any connections between these images?
- How do you expect or want your audience to react to your final piece?
Criteria: Cleaver use and unique interpretation of the given appropriated
images.
Interesting use of color, space, movement, mood, composition and communication
of your ideas and or interpretation.
Technical proficiency and sophisticated imagery.
