For this project, I will introduce: HTML, web animation, sizing of files, color depth and layout. This introduction will supply you with information to successfully design a web site and maintain it. In consideration of the web research that you have just finished. It is your job to produce an original artist site......

I want you to create something that you feel is needed on the World Wide Web. This web site can contain various text, images and animation.

Your web page must have each of the following:

A link to your process page

An artist statement/discription of your site.

Legible text.


The Process Page will enable you to use the web as a sketching tool for your ideas. Furthermore, it will serve as an "open studio" for your methods and process to share with others.
After we have successfully established a site I will ask you to maintain it for the rest of the semester. You will need to update it frequently and use the process page for new projects. I will consider this page with your journals at the end of the semester.

Keep in mind that the most successful web sites are fairly simple in design. Size is of great importance, so keep your files to a minimum.
