We came upon a deep pink block that sat glistening in the sunshine. It had wet groves and biting marks sculpted into it. It's rounded corners and smooth indentations suggested a deterioration over time. I didn't know what the pink formation was for or how it got into the pasture. But, I thought it was strangely beautiful and tempting to touch. I knelt down to get a closer look and rubbed my hands over the top, and then down the edges feeling the smooth texture and dampness. "I dare you to lick that!" He said standing over me. I looked up at him and in the motion of looking back at the block my head dove down to take a big lick. I stood up with a strange salty flavor in my mouth and the strong smell of fresh fertilizer in the my head. As I looked at him, he covered his mouth and began to giggle. "Thatıs poison!" |
