Zeus And Algorithm Animation at SRC
Zeus and Algorithm
Animation at SRC - Algorithm animation is a type of program visualization
that is primarily concerned with displaying the workings of
computer algorithms. This page gives you access to the work that we
have been doing at Digital Equipment Corporation's Systems Research Center
in this area.

Animation of Bresenham's Line Drawing Algorithm in Zeus
Bresenham's
Line Drawing Algorithm - This animation shows Bresenham's line-drawing
algorithm, used to display a line on a
raster-display. The Line view in the lower-right shows the ideal line
(in green) and very large pixels. The Incremental Real view in the bottom-left
shows the part of the line currently being processed, and with more detail.

Cake-Cutting Animation
Cake-Cutting
Animation - (For example, if a district's current population is 500,000
and the ideal size is 550,000, a county will be added only if its population
is less than 100,000. The animation revealed a flaw in the algorithm I
noticed only belatedly, after the print edition of American Scientist had
gone to press.

Agat: Another Graphical Animation Tool
Go to Agat-We're
actually implementing a new version of Agat (Agat2.0) with a nicer interface
(using Tcl-Tk for a graphical
display of stream processing) and a new agat server with (we hope so!)
better performance, better design and new 3D operators coded in OpenGl...
