Here are some more photos I like. Most of them were taken by me. I will give credit in the description of that picture if the picture is taken by somebody else than me.

This is a picture from January 2004, from Gastein where I was on vacation with my family. My dad took this picture and I'm the guy on the picture. Had a moustache back then.

Again, this is a picture of me from Gastein. Behind me on the left side is a pub where we were refreshing ourselves with Jagertee (really great drink) and also where we wrote emails (they were connected and access was free).

Another picture from Gastein, taken the same day as the previous two. We had wonderful weather although we thought it would be a horrible day. The morning was suggesting it. So I had to ride all the way down in the village (about one mile below the point where this picture was taken), got a camera and came back up so that we could take pictures like this one. If my memory serves me well, my brother took this one. A bit down and right from the center of the picture, you can see the cabin that transports skiers up to the top from where they ride down. One cabin carries up to eighty people and swings (which is usually accompanied by someone inside the cabin screaming or holding his/her breath) on every support on the way to the top.

I think my dad took this picture later in the afternoon (same day as before). The sunlight from behind the clouds is interesting. But sometimes it's really hard to see where you're going; especialy if the clouds are low, you find yourself seeing no further than some 50 meters ahead of you. Here the clouds were high so we had no problems with seeing.

Almost the same as the previous picture. The weather was very windy so you can see snow being blown off the crests of the mountains in the back.

Last picture from the Winter vacation in Gastein. Here you can see the valley where ve lived. Just for your information: the valley was about a kilometer below the spot from which my dad took this picture.

My father took this picture. Him and my mom went there in 2004 to check it out.

You can see the railroad wind up the hill all the way to the top. Again, my fathter took this picture.

And one more picture from the same place. I like it because you can see the clouds covering the valley and you can only see the peaks of the mountains around. Once more, I give credit to my father.

That's me showing off my new Volkl P50's. I really love all 188 centimeters of both them. I still have to improve my style in order to fully master them though. They're really good. And they cost next to nothing compared to how much they usually cost. Was a great deal.

Our favorite restaurant. We stopped by at least twice a day to get some Schnaps, Jagertee, beer, or something to eat. They had really good food. And the two people who run the place are just lovely. It felt like home. Another great feature was the possibility to heat yourself not only from the inside with great alcoholic beverages, but also from the outside as is demonstrated on the picture. It also added a lot to the feeling of being home.

Inntal, with Innsbruck in the middle. The valley goes northeast to Kufstein and then to Germany. That's how we got there. You can see the airport on the left. It must be pretty scary to take off and land there if you consider the fact that the hills around are as high as three kilometers. It's gotta be pretty windy too. Heard that landings in Innsbruck are the worst in Europe. I actually watched a couple planes take off too. It's pretty damn scary. One moment I thought one was gonna crash into the hills.

Going up the hill...

Another picture of our favorite restaurant. This time from the outside. When it was still sunny, we could sit outside, but we chose not to cause it was much more pleasant inside.

Flying Hirsch, cigarettes, and an ash tray - an artistic picture. It was supposed to be tilted ninety degrees, but I think it looks cooler this way. For those who don't know, Flying Hirsch (flying deer) is Jagermeister with Red Bull.

The area with slopes. I marked them all for you. The blue ones are easy, red ones medium, black ones hard. The black one on the picture goes all the way down to the Olympic village of Axams. The blue slope is where the women's downhill competition was held at the olympics in Innsbruck. There are some more slopes on the opposite hill (see the next picture). An easy training slope and the hardest slope in the area (it's very bumpy - there are many rocks on the hill, so the slope can't be maintained) where the men's slalom was held. And then also one red that goes to another village, Gotzens. That's the only slope I haven't tried yet. Well, maybe next year.

And this is the other side of the valley. The picture was taken from somewhere near the restaurant I like so much. You can see the hard black slope in the middle of the picture. Not really good for my hard and long P 50's. Those are really rather for racing and slopes without bumps. There's also a restaurant at the beginning of the slope. But their Jagertee is not good. There was a Czech waitress though.
