CMYK Chopstix

First of the series, this is a digitally altered black and white photo of chopsticks. First, I opted to crop the image to focus the view on the flowery textures. I experimented with multiple color effects in various layers, finally coming up with 3 or 4 separate effects that combined together well. I created a semi border effect with an enlarged line tool, which I then blurred over the edges. To create more interest in the image, I introduced more lines that I warped with the Shear filter. Finally, I went over it with brush work to create balls of energy. I broke down and indulged in a little back pat by signing my name on it.
