Sounds and Images of Spain and Latin America

Sign on, click and access the world of Spanish and Latin American art! Fly through the world of sounds and images east of the Atlantic and south of the border, and discover the richness of Spanish and Latin American cultures! Dr. Germán F. Westphal will be your guide through the World Wide Web and his lectures in either MLL 245 or MLL 345, which make extensive use of slides, videos, film and music. You will visit cities, museums, private collections, and monuments you never dreamt you could access without actually travelling abroad, and you will learn how societies enrich themselves by the contributions of many cultures and how such cultural wealth is expressed and realized in their artistic accomplishments. Either course may be used toward UMBC’s General Education or General Foundations Requirement in Culture. No knowledge of Spanish required.
