NOTES ON USE:

This film analysis matrix may be used to break down and analyze in detail certain aspects of a film or video.  Clearly, completely characterizing all aspects of even a few minutes of film or video would produce a very large document.  In the critical literature on film and video and in reviews you will find authors being extremely selective in choosing details on which to comment, and weaving information into a readable and informative narrative.  No script, even the detailed shooting script, completely captures all these details.  Many are decided on the spot during shooting or in editing and post-production, and are part of the craft and art of the various specialists.
