Project Synopsis (Reverse Chronological Order)
Duration August 2001-Present
DescriptionMagicWeaver is an agent based simulation framework for wireless sensor networks. It provides abstract models for sensor tasking and communication, sensor device contraints, network topologies and physical environments. It offers the flexibility to incorporate user-defined instantiations of these models into the runtime system.
TechnologyJava, JADE, XML
DurationAugust 2001-December 2001
DescriptionThis project simulates a DLX Processor using VHDL. Advanced features include, fully pipelined architecture, instruction cache and data cache and Stall mechanism
TechnologyVHDL
DurationMay 2001-August 2001
DescriptionThis project was executed at Hewlett Packard Labs,Palo Alto. This project describes our research in prototyping the CoolAgent Recommendation system (CoolAgent RS). This context- aware software agent system demonstrates the ability to allow contextual information to be freely distributed among agents so that the meaning of that information can be shared and understood. It provides a flexible infrastructure for agents to capture heterogeneous contextual information in the physical world, and represent that uniformly for machine- processes. It also allows agents to negotiate with other agents in the vicinity for contextual information that is not directly accessible through sensing.
TechnologyJava, JADE,RDF
DurationJanuary 2001-May 2001
DescriptionRendezvous is an Agent based Smart Conference Assistant that automates the process of arranging meetings and provides context-specific information to the users during the meeting over wireless links. The research initiative here was to contruct an end-to-end system that serves the users right from meeting arrangement process till the end of meetings. Pre-meeting contract-net negotiation and during the meet wireless messaging served as the focal point of the project.
TechnologyJava, JADE,DAML,PalmOS Programming, Wireless 802.11 Network Programming
DurationJanuary 2001-May 2001
DescriptionThis project was executed primarily to evaluate the VoiceXML standard for Building Interactive Voice Response Systems for the web. The technology was applied to deliver voice-based talk information to users from the DAML-based vertical portal ITTALKS.
TechnologyVoiceXML for client side scripting, IBM's WebSphere Toolkit for Voice Server comprising of Text to Speech Conversion Engine and Speech To Text Conversion Engine.
DurationAugust 2000-December 2000
DescriptionDesigned and Developed a Distributed task execution layer over the operating system to facilitate loading sharing and maximize task response times using the Stable Symmetrically Initiated Loading Sharing Algorithm
TechnologyJava(Networking,Serialization,Swing,Threading)
DurationAugust 2000-December 2000
DescriptionThis project explored the transaction processing concepts in databases and the domain of execution was Real Estates.
TechnologyJava(Swing, JDBC) and Oracle as the backend DBMS.
DurationAugust 2000-December 2000
DescriptionImplementation of SILC protocol as a Secure environment to conference with people. Implemented the Diffi-Hellman Key Exchange Protocol, One Step Data Encryption Standard Algorithm for data encryption and decryption and Packet Protocol for SILC.
TechnologyLanguage C
DurationAugust 2000-March 2001
DescriptionThis project was predominantly self-initated. The effort was to understand the different mobile computing application architectures and their associated drawbacks and benefits.
TechnologyLiterature Review of the Application Architectures for Mobile Computing
