The first part was along I70 in Maryland. A very comfortable road, with no traffic. The road went gently up and down the hills. After a while, though, it went in the Appalachian mountains. There were towns every few miles. There were small farms on both the sides and a lot of bugs!
In Pennsylvania,
there were lots of trucks on the road. There were small farms all along
the road here, too. The road then entered the higher Appalachian
mountains.
The road was very wide, the slopes not too steep, and there was not
much
of a traffic. The photo on the left shows a view of the Appalachian
mountains from a rest area in Pennsylvania.
After the mountains, the road became gentler. Once entering Ohio, the road went up-and-down along gently sloping hills. Ohio is also known as the "roller-coaster" state! There were quite a few trucks now, but the road was more or less straight. The ramps were much longer compared to Maryland.
