Fall 2008 Scheduler up and runningMar.31.2008
The scheduler has been updated for the final time by me (unless OIT forgets to disable my account). I have written and modified a few perl scripts and one c++ program that parces through UMBC's website grabbing all ther information on classes and then generates all the required files for the Scheculer and webpage for semi-automated updating. Once the last script is finalized I will post all the source code and instructions for anyone to maintain in the future. Hopefully UMBC will one day make one of their own. But in the mean time Enjoy.

Site Relaunch Jan.06.2008
I welcome you to the return of my glorious site... well .. web page. At this point in my
academic career I must focus on my professional development. Therefore I will be adding
content that relates to my academic accomplishments and my professional resume and portfolio.
Now that the business end has been dealt with, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Welcome to 2008!
This is
my final semester at UMBC (getting out in the four years that I intended to) and the
"beginning of my life" or something like that. I've got my courses lined up and slowly we
will all be working towards May. Oh the excitement! I've arranged for my last semester
to be fairly simple, 12 credits, 6 are comp sci. So I am looking forward to an eased course
load... which will be mitigated with work for my career. Should be fun.
UMBC Scheduler Spring 2008 Oct. 29th 2007
I realized i removed the scheduler from it's previous location when i 'downed the site'.
As of Oct 29th it has been restored and updated for the Spring 2008
Semester. If there are any problems with the scheduler please email
me at this umbc account ( _____ @umbc.edu from the url) I have yet
to run it myself (java applet problem with linux x86_64) so yeah just
let me know.
Also, this spring Semester is my last semester here at UMBC, hooray for graduation. So if anyone is interested in hosting the Scheduler for the future Just let me know. I have a full Instructional guide for the Installation and update of the Scheduler. So even for a non computer person the step by step guide should be sufficient.
Steve's "Site" is down! September 4th 2007
Just an FYI for any of you who come here from time to time
expecting a website. For the Fall 2007 Semester I'm taking
CMSC 435 "Computer Graphics". In this course I write code which will
render as a 3D environment using Pixar's Renderman c bindings.
When Pixar makes one of their movies they use terabytes(TB) of data and
Render Farms to generate the various scenes... I will be using UMBC's
GL Server and my 100 MB of space... Therefore due to the lack of resources on my
account I had to clear out any... unnecessary directories and so my
web site has been temporarily removed... sad right? I would think UMBC
would allocate CMSC and Art Majors a hell of alot more space. But anyway
It'll be back come the winter semester.
Later,
Steve
