|
|
|
1.) Acceptance by Visual Arts Department to exchange Visual Arts has autonomy to set its own admissions criteria and application deadlines. 2.) IES orientation procedures IES works with student prior to departure in order to: a.) explain transfer of academic credit system; b.) assure transfer of financial aid and scholarships to study abroad program; c.) provide pre-departure orientation for issues regarding health, safety, travel documents, cultural adjustment strategies, and insurance information; d.) give any additional advising support as needed. Pre-departure orientations are usually held two weeks prior to the end of the semester roughly first week of May for fall departures, first week of December for spring departure. Therefore, Visual Arts Department should preferably have its nominations ready by roughly April 15 for fall students, November 1 for spring students. 3.) Issuance of acceptance letter by Schwäbisch Hall for UMBC students Schwäbisch Hall does not require that students submit an application prior to arrival, but simply issues admission letter to UMBC students for German immigration purposes. Currently US citizens can apply for German student visa upon arrival in Germany through application at local Auslandsamt. |
