ORGANIZATIONS       

AAAL   (American Association for Applied Linguistics)  a professional organization of scholars who are interested in and actively contribute to the multi-disciplinary field of applied linguistics

CAL   (Center for Applied Linguistics)   CAL carries out a wide range of activities including research, teacher education, analysis and dissemination of information, design and development of instructional materials, technical assistance, conference planning, program evaluation, and policy analysis.

IATEFL  (International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language)  an international organization based in the United Kingdom

MDTESOL   an affiliate of TESOL, a professional, non-profit association dedicated to the improvement and advancement of teaching English to  speakers of other languages

NABE   (National Association of Bilingual Education)  promoting educational excellence and equity through bilingual education

NIFL   (National Institute for Literacy)  leading the national effort toward a fully literate nation in the 21st century

TESOL  An international professional association for ESL/EFL teachers

U.S. Department of Education  contains information on grants & contracts, financial aid, education resources, research & stats, and policy

WATESOL  a non-profit professional association for ESL/EFL teachers and volunteers in Washington D.C., Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia.
