In this section I will attempt to maintain a history of changes to this website.

2005–03–06

Added new theme, umbc3. Inserted samples in UMBC themes and Gallery. Updated beamer-umbc.tar.gz accordingly.

2005–11–03

Added reference to Norm Matloff’s site in Beamer on the Web.

2006–05–13

Changed “background” to “background canvas” in section An image for a background.

2007–05–05

Added section Complete set of Beamer themes.

2007–11–08

Following a suggestion from Andrzej Jan Kutylowski, renamed the files hfc.tgz and beamer-umbc.tgz to hfc.tar.gz and beamer-umbc.tar.gz to make downloading easier under Windows.

2010–03–20

• Removed the sections titled Xpdf usage and Acrobat Reader usage. They had become quite obsolete.

• Updated/added a few links in the section Beamer on the Web.

• Added a remark at the end of the A bare-bones sample regarding an alternative way of specifying a slide’s title.

• Added the section Adding footnotes.

2010–05–23

• Throughout the site replaced the old style title specification

• In Navigating with hyperlinks added a section that offers a hack to get around the recently developed incompatibility between Beamer, PGF, and hyperref.sty packages. The issue is manifested by the error message

2010–11–29

Jyoti Sarasvat noted that the reference environment defined in Adding footnotes was buggy—the “footnote” color affected the normal text color of the succeeding slides. This has been fixed now.

2011–01–25

Fixed a large number of typos and grammar issues based on detailed comments from John Ganci.

2011–07–06

Fixed yet another batch of typos and grammar issues based on detailed comments from John Ganci.

2011–12–15

Added a note in Navigating with hyperlinks regarding a key binding in the Acrobat Reader under Apple Mac.
