Career Plans
Currently I work as an IT intern for the UMBC Graduate School. As UMBC students and faculty are aware, there is a new system being put in place to deal with admissions, course registration, etc. In the Graduate School it
is called the SADI Project, which stands for Student Administration & Document Imaging (the website is linked to above.) I do database work in SA, as well as write scripts for our Document Imaging client. Previously I have held retail jobs
at both Michaels and Staples, and worked as a tutor for the ASC at my previous college, Stevens. I worked at Stevens two summers ago as a part of their Scholars program, where I did Java programming to map out patterns in wireless communications.
I also worked for RABA technologies while in high school doing software testing.
Ideally I would like to continue doing something similar to my job at the Graduate School, where I have many different projects I can work on so that I do not become stuck on one. I enjoy the database work and writing queries, since
it is almost like a puzzle, and as always I love to code. Hopefully the experiences I have had will keep pushing me down this career path in the future.
