Attention: Human Resources
I am responding to your ad in The San Diego Union-Tribune for the Biotech Research Assistant Position. With my experience developing and working with mammalian cell lines, I have a lot to offer Vista Biologicals. Currently, I am working with a rat pituitary gland cell line in a University of Maryland research lab. I also have knowledge of chlorella, rotifer, and artemia culture maintenance.
My undergraduate years at the University of Maryland have given me a well-rounded education. Having taken courses in C++ and Fortran, I have written several computer programs during my internship at the Center of Marine Biotechnology. These can be downloaded on my web page, "http://www.gl.umbc.edu/~mmasuc1." The courses I have taken in Economics and Accounting have helped me prepare for employment in the private sector. I have also gained writing and presentation skills by taking courses in technical writing. My first publication, "Transport of Highly Unsaturated Fatty Acids in Rainbow Trout Testes," published in the Journal of Ithicology, June 1998 can also be found on my web page.
I would like to the opportunity
to tour Vista Biologicals and to learn more about the manufacturing processes
if possible. I can be best reached by e-mail at mmasuc1@gl.umbc.edu.
Thank you for your time.
Thank you,
Michael Masucci
