Please pardon any references in the homework and lecture notes to Houghton's "The Physics of Atmospheres." While it is a good text, for the atmospheric radiation portion of Physics 622 in 2007 we are using Salby's "Fundamentals of Atmospheric Physics." See Salby Chapter 8.
