Using the A.O.K. UCORS system

In order to protect copyright but provide students access to materials under accepted educational use policies, the UMBC has developed the UCORS system. Instructions below may look daunting, but in reality, they are very easy to use. P

To access the HIST 701 UCORS website:

1. Go to http://www.umbc.edu/aok/main/

2. Click on the link for Course Reserves (located on the right-hand side of the webpage under "myLibrary").

3. From the Course Reserves web page, use the drop-down menu to select the History department, and then select the "GO" button.

4. Within the Departmental Pages, the Reserves are arranged by course number, followed by the course name, semester, section (if available), and the instructor.

5. To obtain the list of items on reserve for the workshop, click on the HIST 701 ,The Study of History link.

6. This will take you to the list of readings for the course. New readings may be added during the semester.
To view a reading, simply click on the link for the assigned title. Some are pdf files, so you will need to have the free Adobe Acrobat Reader downloaded to your computer.

7. Since these reading are copyrighted, you will be prompted to enter a Username and Password for access. This information is:
