CLASS NOTES TEMPLATE
- Date:
- Attendance: a head count
- Activities: a summary
of the day's activities, including appropriate links. For
instance, provide a link to the day's oral report(s), and give an
overview
of the subject of the report. In-class exercises also count as
activities.
- Announcements: class
deadlines,
campus lectures, job fairs, etc.
- Discussion topic: lectures on
writing topics. Like the oral report, give an overview of the
discussion and then link to the relevant Powerpoint.
- Navigation to your web site:
Remember, ideally there should be only one click to get your
visitors to any place on your site.
- Due date: the notes are due one
week from the assigned notetaking date. In the summer, notes are
due by Saturday midnight of the week when notes were assigned.
For example, notes taken on May 30 are due by June 2. Save the
notes in your www folder, calling the file "notes.html." Notes
must be written in html. Notes that are Word documents will lose
points.
- Collaboration: In the summer,
there will be two or three people responsible for the notes of any one
class. Please divide the note taking duties and put together one
set of class notes (to avoid repetition), which one person can put on
his/her site and the others can link to. Be sure to list all note
takers in the notes.
