Position Summary:
The
Regional Operations Manager (ROM) serves as Newton Learning’s key point-of-contact
for all Supplemental Education Services (SES) programs within a given community.
The Regional Operations Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing groups
of regional SES after-school programs servicing over 700 students, managing
on-site administration and project management in education.

Duties include:
- Contacting the Newton Learning Developer to review key points from the SES contract;
- Communicating key operational points to the Newton learning central operations team;
- Meeting with district contact to determine processes for the following tasks:
- Recruiting students, notifying parents and processing student enrollment forms
- Hiring site directors, teachers and all other staff
- Managing facility issues
- Maximizing student enrollment
- Verifying curriculum choices
- Tracking and Reporting attendance information
- Reviewing state guidelines for After School/SES funding and reporting;

Completing the process for all employees with the AFMU office. This includes
completion of all new hire paperwork, certification verification, and background
check;
- Overseeing all general program operation, including transportation,
scheduling, food distribution, technology, assessment, and reporting.
- Ensuring site-based expenses are incurred consistent with approved program budget;
- Overseeing and managing the site director with the following tasks:
- Monitoring student/staff ratios
- Submitting payroll
- Tracking student attendance and managing incentive programs
- Distributing materials and supplies
- Tracking funds and receipts for parent pay options (if applicable)
- Ensuring contract compliance
- Completing checkout procedures
- Maintaining parent satisfaction
- Coordinating all professional development sessions
- Providing required checkout information to the district and Newton Learning staff.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of pervious operations and/or staff management experience in education or related field;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Working knowledge of various computer software packages and technology;
- Willingness to travel;
- Ability to multi-task is a plus.
