We want to make sure you're completely satisfied with anything you buy from us. If you're not completely satisfied with a Product, Circuit City will gladly exchange or refund your purchase within 30 days of the sale date-no hassles. Because of rapid changes in technology, the return period for digital cameras, camcorders, PCs and related products (monitors, printers, scanners) is 14 days.
For exchange or full refund of a Product, we need the order confirmation or record of purchase in our system. The Product must be in its original condition, including the box, packaging and all accessories. Opened software, music CDs, games and movies can only be exchanged for the same title.
Credits will only be issued to the credit card used for the original purchase. For merchandise purchased with a gift card as the sole payment method, we will refund the balance due to you back to a new gift card unless the balance is less than $5 or prohibited by law. See "Mail Refund" section below for refund information for merchandise returned via mail.
We reserve the right to limit the number of returns permitted.

Circuit City is not responsible for contacting the carrier regarding changes or cancellations of your service plan.
DIRECTV(r)
DIRECTV(r) receivers will only be accepted for exchange or refund if returned with the original access card within 30 days of purchase. For your own protection, please be aware that the distribution or use of counterfeit or altered access cards for satellite TV reception is a violation of Federal Law. If you suspect any violations, please call (800) 353-2257. Circuit City is not responsible for contacting DIRECTV(r) regarding changes or cancellations of your subscription.
Missing Accessories
The value of missing items will be deducted from the credit amount of a return. For even exchanges, we will exchange what the customer returns (e.g., box for box, manual for manual, etc.)
Promotional Packages
Returns for promotional package items will only be accepted if all components of the promotional package are returned. Individual package components may be exchanged if defective.
In-Store Returns
Any Product purchased online may be returned to any Circuit City store (except our Circuit City Express locations) provided that it meets the above guidelines.
For any Product received that is not the Product ordered, we will exchange the item at no additional cost upon verification. Proof of purchase (e.g. order confirmation, packing slip or record of purchase in our system) is required for all returns. When returning Product to your local Circuit City store, please be sure to bring the credit card used for the purchase along with your proof of purchase.
Mail Returns
You may return any merchandise purchased online via mail provided that the return meets these guidelines. (Please note that merchandise purchased at your local Circuit City store (not online) CANNOT be returned via mail. Please return such items to your local Circuit City store. Please see store for in-store purchase return policy.
Merchandise purchased online through circuitcity.com (regardless of whether you picked it up at the store or had it delivered to your home), which meets the Refunds and Returns guidelines above, may be returned via mail to our authorized return center. Before returning anything by mail to us, you first must obtain a Return Authorization ("RA"), found in the About Your Order section.
Any returns mailed to us without a pre-approved RA may be refused without notice, automatically returned and a handling fee assessed. An RA is valid for 10 days.
You will be responsible for all shipping and insurance charges for returns, unless otherwise indicated. If you choose not to insure your package, and we do not accept return of the Product, you will be responsible for any loss or damage. Upon our acceptance of the merchandise in like new condition in conformity with this policy, the purchase price will be credited to your credit card or a mail refund check will be issued for a purchase made with a gift card as the sole payment method. Allow 14 days (not including delivery time for mail refunds) from when we accept your returned Product for the processing of your credit. Additional charges may be assessed for Products returned with any missing items such as manuals and/or accessories. For Product that we verify to be defective, we will reimburse you for your original shipping expense on the Product that you return or exchange.
