Tau Beta Pi is an engineering honors fraternity. I was inducted into this fraternity at the end of my spring semester of 2009. I am in the Maryland Delta chapter which is the chapter here at umbc. This fraternity strives to maintain excellence in the engineering field and only recruit the best engineers of the class, this is usually the top eighth of the junior class and the top fifth of the senior class.
I was a teaching assistant for Dr. Spence for the course ENME 204 - Introduction to Design with CAD. In this class we drafted parts from a book using a CAD program called ProEngineer. I had previously passed this class with an A and my job was to make sure that everyone was on track with the tutorials and that noone was getting behind. Also I had to keep my email open for questions and had to setup office hours for when people needed extra assistance on the homework assignments.
I plan to graduate with my Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. I am planning on getting a job with some sort of link to energy conservation like a job with General Electric or Constellation Energy.
