SOIL
ON CONCRETE
ON SOIL,
1996
|
 |
People
are invited to walk on woodblocks, branches,
stones to make prints and embossings. A
print is also a sensory memory imprint.
A reference to the sacred ritual of walking,
and ambi-circulation. The soil is put back
on top of the concrete, as a reminder of
the history beneath the concrete that we
walk on.
