I am a PhD student focusing on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and usability at the Information System Department of University of Maryland, Baltimore County. I enjoy being in the area of multi-disciplines. I had HCI related research experience in financial, hotel service, software engineering, and healthcare.
My current research investigates how people manage their daily personal health information (e.g. health care appointments, contact information, health records, lab results, annual checkups, insurance, and reference materials), which factors influence their usage of related technology (e.g. personal health records systems) and how technology can be improved to assist their information management in this regard.
At a broad level, my research interests involve many sub disciplines of information technology:
- Human-computer interaction (HCI)
- Health informatics
- Cross-cultural issues
- Online communities
- Computer-supported cooperative work (CSCW)
- Empirical Software Engineering
