Ahhhh the fabled luwak. Luwak is a type of coffee which is ingested by a
weasel, passed through its little system and then "deposited." The luwak
farmers pick it up, clean it up (I hope) and then sell it for hundreds of
dollars a pound. It's a serious delicacy to some people. We first caught
wind of it at ProfNet when someone from, I think, the Connecticut Post
(go figure) sent in a query about it. Later one of Dave Barry's
researchers sent in a query as well. Barry's article appeared and we were
rolling.

When Dan won the first year, since we were a small office and all poor, the jackpot was meager. I went out and bought a box of whoppers (you get the visual here) and made a fake wrapper for it so it looked like a box of "luwak coffee." I also went out and got a money order for the grand prize...$1. That was my favorite part...
